Rotary Hoe question

I picked up a 2 section 3 point rotary hoe yesterday that looks like a Dearborn (no tags) but has wood block bearings. Did Dearborn ever have that, or were they all bushing/sleeve type? I searched the manuals on the "other" site but found none w/wood blocks.
Thanks in advance!

Sorry about that, but at present it is still on my trailer w/3 other implements all tangled together & it's raining! I wanted to post a pic & will soon - I hope! :<)

Thanks for the picture, I have never seen one here in Oregon, not saying they don't exist here tho. I live in farm county altho I am not a farmer. Worked on farms when I was kid and really enjoyed it. My machines now have light duty.

Here is a picture of the manual for the rotary hoe that I have. I did replace the wood bearings on it.

Picture of the wood bearings my son-in-law made for it from hard maple. The original wood bearings were 2 piece, he just simplified it and made them one piece.

Thanks All! This hoe has the old style 2 piece wood blocks like 2 2x4's bolted together w/a hole drilled between them. I see no Dearborn hoes w/that type???

believe it is Ferguson.

Just got back from looking closer at the hoe & my hope that it was Dearborn is smashed! I got it in a trailer full of old farmerized implements, one of which was home made w/a hitch like the Dearborn hoe's. I was now able to clean that up enough to see it is for a Ferguson spring tooth harrow.
I will try to post a pic.

Del, is that a 7/8" hole or what? I am also restoring one as it looks just like the picture of the parts book not like either one of the others that are pictured.

Before there were pesticides, Round-Up, and such, farmers had to weed fields somehow and the rotary hoe, the 4-row weeder, and the 2-row cultivator were great assets and can be your friends still today...especially if you do organic farming. You can also turn the hoe wheel around and use it to break up hard packed ground.

Richard, I can't remember the measurement right off hand. The rotary hue is tucked away up in the machine shed. I will see if I can get a measurement for you sometime today. Here is a parts diagram from the parts book. It shows the axle and the bearing but not the size.

It was hard to measure the wood bearings installed. I did get a measurement of 1" on the axle shaft so I think the bearings are the same.
