when I towed home this 8n for $800 with a broken
transmission I was surprised out how well he
cleaned up and I was really surprised to find these
tools in the toolbox with Ford stamped on them, and
I don't know these came with the tractor or if they're
just from Ford but it's cool

It cleaned up very nicely.
I'm no expert on the tools but others will know for sure.
Broken transmission? How so? Bad gear in it?

About 2 inches of one of the top gears teeth broken off, I have a complete set of good used one, I will change the whole thing out.

Those are original tools that came with the tractor. There was also a screwdriver and a spark plug wrench and a plow wrench. Perhaps Tim Daley will happen along. He collects and sells those tools.

I have the spark plug wrench that Steve was kind enough to send me.
Since I've had it I use it regularly. It is a great design for N's.

Several monkey wrenches out here too, not sure if any are Ford.
I rarely use any adjustable wrench outside of a pipe wrench on pipe.

The tools are correct for the N-Series Tractor. The versions you show are the 01A-17021-A Monkey Wrench; 01A-17015 - 7/16 x 1/2 Open End Wrench; and the 01A-17016 9/16 x 5/8 Open End Wrench. All replaced their predecessors in April, 1940, and were used thru N production. The two small wrenches were part of the 9N-17004 Toolkit that also included the B-17005-A Toolbag; the B-17020 Screwdriver; and the B-17025-A Pliers. The Monkey Wrench was a dealer accessory/option by 1947/1948. Good find on a late 8N...I have complete, all original toolkits for sale -look in the ADS forum...
