8N/2N Rear wheel bolt specs

I bought -somewhat impulsively- a set of rear wheel weights supposedly for a 8N, without measuring the bolt circle. I believe the old gent did not know the difference and the tractor he had was a 2N. Not sure, looking for the 2N rear hub circle measurement. Not sure of what do with them. Supposedly, they weigh 140 or 150 lbs each.

I don't remember the spacing measurement Bill.
Tomorrow I can go measure one for you if know one chimes in.
They are a wide, 6 bolt pattern though. Nothing like 8N and later.

These are the back rims, so those rusty outer 6 bolts, from
my failing memory, are about 24 1/2 maybe 24 3/4 on center.
At that point they will interchange with an 8N center disk.
That would put the inner six, just outside the red portion in
my picture, at closer to 16 inches on center I would think.
I've never measured the 8 center rivets to see what they are.

ya, back rims. should have specified i meant center to center of adjacent holes.

ok, opposite :) center to center (a system i don't normally use, he said, expecting fist-shaking) of inner set looks like 15 3/8", outers, wild guess without remembering to take a flat scale to eyeball it properly with, i'm gonna go with... something (maybe a half inch?) under 24.

no problem, and we just had a really thin line of stuff blow thru a few ago. radar looks pretty good now.

Thanks to all. I just went out and measured. I got roughly 15 and 1/2 measuring in the dark. suggesting they did fit on a 2N. Really no way I can use them on my 8N? I paid 150 for them??? Are they worth that much?

They might be to a guy who can use them.
I know a guy who might be interested, I can call him and ask.
Can you send me pictures of them to pass along?

i'm no fan, won't hunt in it, try real hard to not drive in it. my sweetness... well, discussions about it are typically filed under 813 in the dewey decimal system.

If you can post some pictures -hard to say what you have without seeing first. If you can't get them to post, email them to me and I can post for you.

The early N's -9N; 2N; and 8N all used liquid, calcium chloride the most used, for wheel weight ballast. The pie-weights didn't come out til the Hundred Series, and though some use on N's not usually a good idea as axle strength my not support. The pie-weight center mounting plates will not bolt up to the 9N/2N wheels unless you do some major improvising. Some one-piece aftermarket style rear wheel weights were around. Let's all get on the same page first though...
