Quick update on the 3000

Carb rebuilt, it no longer needs the choke on to run.
That wasn't too bad but that little pump valve is cute.
Getting the seal out of that little hole was no fun.

Power steering leak is fixed. You guys were right,
that's a lot of disassembly for such a simple seal.
Made a mess all over getting all the old fluid out.
So I gave the tractor a bath. Now it has an electrical
issue but I'll post that on the Ford forum.

Starting to look good!!
Are ya going to stick a 'Cab', on that one????

Cab & an FEL......Good to go, for winter!!

Yes. In the background just above the FORD on the hood is
a white cab that came off the 335. It should bolt right on.
I don't have a FEL for it, but I do have a front blade for it.

Saw what I thought was a Ford 3000 for you in Orangeville. Sorry it wasn't there today. Better luck next time.
Spent yesterday with the 2N and Dearborn "bulldozer", clearing the forest road of cut tree tops. Made the fan blade sqell on the shroud once when only one front wheel touching. Only stuck once. Pulled front pin so blade could swivel from top I was pushing and got unstuck.
Going to have my neighbor kid put the DC Case rear wheel weights on the Ford 600. OD is 27 1/2" should just fit in 28" rim and stick out about 2 inches from rim. Angle of weight is same angle as 8N ,600 rims, with enough room in center to get to rim bolts. Only need some holes cut in rim and angle mounts for bolts to match angle of rim. Then you can have DC.
Still might tackle the Dearborn 14-2 mower this winter. Watch out for a junker for me.

I haven't seen a 14-2 locally Charlie but I'll watch for one.
Joan and I picked up a new 14K trailer this week so I can
actually haul something the weight of a DC now.

The little car hauler did well for N's and I liked how low it was.
Three wheel bearings in three years made me want better axles.
The first bearing went out at three months old. Empty trailer.
Factory warranty replaced the entire axle, so no issue there.
But all three that failed were on the only axle with brakes.
Now I have brakes on all four trailer wheels.

I still need to add a winch mount and my tool box to it.
Down side is, it took most of my tractor fund to buy it! ;)

Thanks Fred, it's a beast compared to the old one.
The old one was 2000 lbs empty, this one is 3000 lbs.
For the extra 1000 lbs of empty weight the cargo weight went
from 5K max to 11K max. I think I need a bigger truck! LOL

We haul on a trailer that looks just
about exactly like that one. Works
well and like the width. Too bad it
drained your tractor fund, there was a
ford 4000 sos row crop wf for $1900
with 1 new rear tire on pa rims.
