quick question on 9n 2n 8n carb

question i just got few i just two tractor 8n and other one look like 2n or 9n not sure until i get here at the shop. which has two diffent carb but look at the 1 look like mavel type then the second look like model a ford zenith type model a type which one is better one to run on this ford tractor then i need a frount mound dist used for sell ..
 
Whatever you [lan to keep and use, put the Marvel carb on it..some folks like the Zenith but 99% stick with the MS--Reminds me, I have a new Zenith I need to dig out and play with..
 
I think I understand your questions, but to be clear, you are asking:

1. Which carb is better, Zenith or M/S?

And

2. where can you find a used front distributor?

Is that what you are asking?

As to the carbs, your question is like asking which is better, Ford or Chevy? We all have our opinions; both will work just fine if they are rebuilt correctly. As M/S are easier to rebuild, most folks have better luck w/ the M/S carb. I have both & see no difference..

As to the distributor, these guys should be able to help you w/ used parts:

Marvel "type" or is it a Marvel Schebler?
If it is one of the aftermarket black beauty Marvel "types" all bets are off.
An original M/S is a good carb.
The Zeniths are too but I find them harder to get parts for when needed.

If he doesn't have one I might. I'd have to look to be sure.
 
The only thing the Model A Zenith and the 8N Zenith have in common is the name. They are totally different in design.
