Starter switch

Last week while moving logs with my 9N, I shut it off for a minute. Jumped back on only to have it not start. It was late (11pm) so it sat until morning. Then I figure out it's the switch. Are these prone to going bad? The one on it looked fairly new. Worth keeping one 'in stock'? It's 12v neg ground BTW.
Thanks.

No, the switches themselves are not prone to failure. The usual cause of a starter switch failure on a 2 or 9N isn't the switch itself but the linkage going to it.
