Hi all.
I just bought a 52 8N and it has the wobble in the rear end. With some help from members and research on here, I've identified that this must have been an issue for a while as it had a 2 piece axle nut on it and both the nut and axle shaft are stripped.
I bit the bullet and ordered both new hubs and axle shafts for both sides and figure I'll get this done and out of the way so that it should last me the rest of my life (I'm 32).
My question is if the bearings on the axles look ok, can they be pulled and reused on the new axles or should I order new bearings?
Also, I've seen some posts where people say to make sure you pack the bearings. Aren't these bearings lubricated by the oil in the diff/hydraulic system/trans? Would it really be good to be packing them with wheel bearing grease that will then get diluted into that oiling system?
