Re: 12 vOLT Conversion 9N

Do you know what would cause the smoking and burning of
wires I have the battery disconnected now but if u hook it back
up it continues to smoke and burn the wires.

we need to know which wires in particular are smoking - knowing where those wires are connected at both ends will help.

when in doubt, pictures are always good. we love pictures :)

slightly OT:

not everyone knows that smoke is actually what makes electricity work. smoke is installed in electrical components, including wires, at the factory. if u let the smoke out, they won't work right, if at all. at that point, there are only 2 options - u can either try to capture the smoke and reinstall it yourself, which is problematic, as it's difficult to capture ALL the smoke, and reinstalling it requires equipment the average home shop doesn't have - or u can buy new components with factory smoke still in them.

either way, it's never a good thing to let the smoke out.
