I still dont understand why people insist on
reinventing the wheel on these tractors?
A 55 and newer tractor can easily be found
WITH power steering already on it. And
you'll get other great features an N doesn't
have besides.

Some people just like to tinker with these old tractors. For a worker I agree with you, get something that has more value and features. For me I have limited time to mess with things so I just use my Ns for pulling a manure spreader once or twice a week and other small pulling jobs. My "main" tractor is a little Mahindra with loader, 4WD, PS, hydrostatic, diesel, 12V, lights and horn (for summoning the wife!). It cost me just a little more than what a fully restored N would be and always starts, doesn't break down at the drop of a hat, tires don't go flat, axle and other parts don't leak.
