Haban sickle bar mower

I picked up one of these at a yard sale on the way to a tractor pull. Model is a 445. It has a hydraulic cylinder so you can cut at different angles even below level grade. Looks to be a kind of light weight model with short bar. It doesn't have nice rock guards like my cub sickle has. Anybody have/using one of these.

That model was probably meant for the SCUT & CUT tractors with cat 1 3 pts have you tried it how does it mow? What did you have tp give for it, I've been watching CL and no 3 pt versions have come up around.

The guy I bought it from had it for years but never used it. He got it in a trade. I took most of it apart changed out the hydraulic cylinder for an
adjustable link and because the mower body tilts on a pivot point so you can mower downhill below grade I made up some steel blocking so it sits level. I
can always change it back to hydraulics if need be. I wanted to see how it ran with the 2n using the howard trans. The knifes are shot and need
replacement. I mowed with it and it worked fine except the bar broke so I will have to repair that. It looks like the bar may have been previously cracked
on one side of the knife bolt holes. I agree probably made for SCUT or CUT. It's a five foot bar. I'm happy with it given the price I paid for it which
was a fifty dollar bill.

Hi Kirk, you did good for $50.00, I much prefer the IH sickle guard set up to that system but for that money you can't go wrong, hope you got the good old MN warranty with it If it breaks in 2 you get to keep both part no additional charge
