how would one remove pin for upper lift link,I want to put a triple rocker in and the old pin is stuck !

Time is your friend, give the kroil time to work. Just wondering why you want the three hole rocker. All i ever use on my 8n's is the lower hole. I am not even sure of what the other holes are to be used for.

Why? The top hole is mainly used to
break lift covers and other expensive
parts. That's why later tractors went to
two holes

yup, time and penetrant oil.. heat can help if you have less time.

heat, quench, cool, heat, quench, cool.. then see if you can drift it out.

 i love it when people translate engineering into simple terms that anyone can understand :)

My Jubilee came with a two hole rocker. All the pictures I have see of the Jubilee, show a three hole rocker, so I was able to get one on e-bay. If I remember correctly the pin can only be removed from right to left as I believe one hole is smaller than the other. I worked hard trying to get it out but was not successful. Even removed the right rear tire and fender, but no luck. Decided the two hole rocker was not to bad after all.

My 8N came with a three-hole rocker. The pin was missing but there was a bushing in the center two ears -- looked almost like the correct reducer for the pin. It was so bent that it needed to be replaced. That was more fun to remove than anything else I've done on the tractor -- it's difficult to get a tool into those holes.

Your understanding about the holes in the four ears is correct. The three ears on the left have bigger holes than the ear on the right. The correct pin passes through all four ears and has a bushing in the two center ears (the left end is a bigger diameter). Why it's made that way is a REALLY GOOD question.
