8N lift leak down

Have a 50 model 8N, last fall i removed lift cover, had cylinder honed (only minor scratches), replaced piston, seal and backup washer, and reinstalled using Zane thang for proper adjustment. My lift still leaks down within 1 minute of shutting motor down. Tonight I removed inspection cover and observed, expecting to see fluid dripping from the top or bubbles in the fluid coming from the bottom.... but No... no obvious leaks, and no bubbles from the bottom. I'm assuming I've overlooked something simple, but I guess it needs to be more obvious!

Did you replace the pressure relief valve?

after reading 75 tips again... i believe my culprit is probably a bad top cover gasket. Fortunately i already have one...

Suspect top cover gasket or relief valve.

Replaced top cover gasket and 3 hole gasket at base of cylinder and that fixed it. Held a bushhog in the air all night... I'll take that. Unfortunately, my overheating problem still exists. Gonna need a herd of goats quick..
