Hub Removal

Got a 50 8n that I'm having a hard time removing the rear hub. I've tried driving figure 8' with the axle nut loose, large three jaw puller and finally some heat while tapping and pulling with the puller...nothing gives. Any suggestions, tricks or advise? Thanks

When I had to remove my right axle hub, I jacked up the rear end and used the largest puller I had. The puller was tightened up hard and the area heated with a torch. As I heated I tightened up more. The end was then belted hard with a small sledge hammer and the hub came right off. While doing this stand to one side, The hub coming off has enough force to give you a bad injury.

Hobo...Seals are leaking and I think this hub is welded on from leaking CAL from the tires. Tractor sat for the last 10 to 15 years. Axle nut washer will bottom out against axle splines soon if it hasnt already. If I can get it off with out screwing it up, I might try to tighten it up with the shimming method???

Been there. Pull the axel and use a short pipe and punch it out from the back side. Don't take a chance and ruin the axel threads.
