I guess it had to sit overnight but it fired up this morning. The problem now is the oil pressure is reading under 20 pounds at full throttle in neutral..........any suggestions...................guess I need to check the new oil pressure gauge......but it is noisier than my other 9N so i'm thinking oil isn't getting to the top end very good...don't know though because I don't know what it sounded like before I got it....I'm sure they all have a little different sound...

No top end on a flathead ;-)

These tractors don't need a lots of oil pressure to run. Noise could be anything. Not enough information to go on there..

(quoted from post at 18:30:39 07/05/16) What weight oil in the engine? I use nothing but straight 30wt in older engines. May even ad a little STP.

could the low pressure reading possibly be because of clogged old oil pressure lines .......after years of use...?

(quoted from post at 08:44:56 07/06/16) Correct, but the cam gear and lifters can make a lot of clickity clacky noise.

thats what worries me with the low oil pressure reading because of the clickity clackity noise I'm hearing.......My other 39 end has no clickity clackity noise and has an oil pressure reading of 40 psi
