9n 3 point won't stay down

My hydraulics will slowly leak down, which doesn't bother me at all right now.

What DOES hinder me, especially while bush hogging, is that 3 point will not stay down. It automatically raises unless i physically hold the lever down.

The lever also very touchy....kind of all or nothing with regards to upnor down.

Had the cylinder replaced last year so it should be good.

Any idea why it won't stay down?

"kind of all or nothing with regards to upnor down"

Yep, that's how they were designed.
They don't have position control to stay where you set them.
You can add position control using a Zane Thang.
Here's his website Zane
Quick, easy, bolt on the outside device. No modifications.

If the handle actually springs up on its own you may need a new
friction disk and/or possibly adjustments. Disk

Does it feel springy when u push down on it?If it does, write back and I'll tell u what I
did to my Dad's 2N that was doing the same thing..

After 75 years things wear out.
They were made to be all up or all down.

Mine would work it's way up as well.
Install the ZaneThang and solve 2 problems at once.

(quoted from post at 15:45:02 07/05/16) you have to hold your hand on it? as in the friction disc is worn out?

Yeah, i guess...i didn't even know there was a friction disk...I'll check it out when i get home
