8N won't stay running

Hi everybody. I just finished a restoration on a Detroit Harvester sickle mower. I hooked it up to test it out and Started the pto in idle and it ran great for 10 seconds and then an old braised part that
connects the Pittman arm to the section bar broke and the arm jammed. Unfortunately the belt didn't slip like it should have. It stalled the tractor. I took the mower off and the N started right up but it only
ran for a minute or 2 before it died. I was trying to drive it onto a trailer so i thought low gas but it was almost full. I restarted it and it lasted 30 seconds and died. Same thing 2 more times. Then the
starter wont engage, it just free spins. The starter is less then a year old and i just did a tune up. What could the mower have damaged?

mower didn't damage anything.. a good N should have ran that belt till it smoked... stalling tells you you are low on power.

probably a fuel obstruction since it starts up and runs a short time. IE.. fuel only dribbling into carb.

still.. it's not hard to check spark.. so do a quick spark test that it will probably pass.. then check fuel.

post back.

all your belted equip did was show you you had a problem.
