So, I purchased a new timing cover for my sidemount 8N because the other one cracked badly when taking it off. The new cover does not use the same size bolts in the three threaded holes on the cover. It takes smaller bolts for these. What is going on with that? Anyone here get one that is this way?

The cover is most likely foreign made. I'm betting the threaded
holes are metric.

I always install heli-coils in'em anyways because it seams ONE will always strip out when I install the oil pan...
