Serial #3011 is here at Osgood, Indiana show this weekend! Looks fantastic except has the 1942 and later grill on it. Single rib fenders, starter button in dash, no lights, no bumper. Very correct. Another '39 here #9497 also very correct except has oversize TractOLite headlights on it.

NO FORD N-SERIES TRACTOR and up thru Hundred Series and probably beyond ever had a bumper from the factory. Those were dealer options as well as lighting kits. Don't know what an 'oversize Tract-O-Lite' is --- The big CM HALL headlights were used up til mid 2N production then the sealed beam style came out and the Tract-O-Lites introduced...while we're at it, 9N and 2N models never had running boards either...doesn't mean you can't put 'em on if'N ya want to...

First thing I did when I got my '40 home was remove the bumper.

I referred to the Tract-O-Lites as oversize because they were huge compared to what you generally see on tractors. I read each serial number personally. It was a treat to see two true '39's in one place. The one belongs to someone right here where the show is, Osgood, Indiana.

I would agree but these are 1939 show tractors and I'm slowly working that direction with my 1940. It's relatively close to correct compared to
most so the bumper had to go.

I added a bumper to my 1940 to protect the front end and add the front hitch ball. It's no show piece either way lol. It also makes a great place to hang log chains.
