1st pic of my 43 2N wearing her brand new bucket compared to the old bucket.
So much easier to steer with the new one.

2nd pic is the main reason I made the smaller one.
Got lucky it's the right size as built the screed before bucket :)

What the heck is a screed?

I mean, I can get the general idea from the picture but what exactly do you use it for?

Forgot to say, nice job on the bucket.

PLEASE RESTORE THE EDITING FEATURE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

It would make extra posts like this unnecessary.

It separates the goats from the sheep, er, rocks from soil.

:p

Yeah, I pretty much got that myself. Everyone knows what a strainer does, but I expected a more complicated reason for the Op to build such a thing. I mean how many times would you use such a thing?

Caryc, the reason I built it is shown the pic.
Those stones were surface picked after plowing a 100'x300' area.
The pile is about 3' high and 8-10' around.
You don't use a shovel and just dig a hole, instead you use a shovel to uncover the next stone.

So you're just pulling dirt out of a field, straining it and then putting it back?

lol bob. as the years go by, respiratory illnesses make me more and more nervous.

on the other hand, a goat separator sounds downright handy :)

I have a pile of dirt/stone about the size of a 6 wheel dump truck, the whole truck not the box, that was removed for drainage issues in pasture that I will screed and use to fill low spots in yard/lawn.
Also have a pile of horse type compost that will be used in garden area.
The 'other' reason I built it is I got my first good welder and want to play with it making stuff LOL

Well heck...with a new welder you don't really need a reason to do anything, just get burning metal.

Can't have it sit there being idle.

It already does, and the "Norm" power steering does too LOL
Already have a line on a 6' snow plow I hope to have and hooked up for winter.
Will post a pic of my version of a easy bucket connect when I get it built.
