8N and NAA front axle spacers

After I install the thick spacer on the pin in front of the center axle, how do I determine how many smaller spacers to place on the pin behind the center axle? Is there some specific clearance I should be looking for?

Some of mine had 2 washers, some had 3. I just put back whatever was there when I took it apart.

The washers only come into play when you adjust the front axle width. I figure the wider the width, the fewer washers you need.

But geometry wasn't my best subject..........

Hi Bruce;
My problem is the front axle support was wrecked and poorly welded from a loader when I got it, and I've got nothing to start with as a reference.

I installed all the parts except the washers and then used the amount that filled the gap. Don't know if that was right, but it worked for me.

i hate advertising even more than most people here hate allis-chalmers - but those ads were... brilliant :)

So I placed an order for 2 thick and 4 thin. Whatever I dont use
on the Jube I can save for the 8N.

You guys watch too much TV.
I had to Google that picture to know what it was.

BTW, I don't hate Allis Chalmers.
I sold one and tried to buy another one last week.

I need another tractor like I need a 6 pack of Guinness at one time!

I ran a D15 gasser and a D17 diesel in the early 60's for an uncle, they were great machines. A cousin still has the D15.

I think the advertising guys at Guinness watched to much Monty Python during their developmental years. Surely you don't need to ask Google for help on that ;-)

My apologies to John P for taking this hijack completely out of bounds but I beg to differ. Prolonged exposure to Monty Python has to be balanced out with regular doses of competing intellectual content or it will rot your brain:

Nick Danger, Third Eye

TOH (aka Cerebro Putredo)

lolol, i would have never guessed u were a firesign theatre fan :D

"I assume you've come to see my mistress, Mr. Danger?"

"I don't care about your private life, or WHAT his name is!"

and a PS to royse and r geiger - my WD and i admire your good taste :)
