im going to get the factory style headlites for the jubilee, and mount them on the doglegs where they go, this tractor has never had them from new, and for 20 years ive ran the usual auto parts store lites on top of the fenders on a mounting bolt, but the jube is a working tractor, and im tired of buying them when branches or whatever knocks them off, late couple sets it seems the chinese fake rubber gets old and cracks and they are no good because the sealed beam wont stay in the lite, nothing to do except to save the sealed beam for a spare, but that box is full now , my question is the headlites i ordered will have a high and low beam, ive been just using a heavy duty toggle switch to switch the lites with but that wont get it done on the new ones, do i need a proper headlight switch or will a double throw toggle switch do the job? [ on, off, on] what are you guys using for headlight switches?

The on-off-on will be the cheapest switch to have. yet tractors dont normally have a high and low beam. So I am curious how you managed to get factory originals with this feature.

I myself will have to replace the lights on my 641. Yet because I will be installing the loader, I will be using some baja off road lights. They are only around $10 - $15 a piece depending on whom you buy them from. They may be too large for your original feel. Yet what I have found at the tractor club, its the guy with the good headlights whom everyone remembers. Try loading your tractor at night in the dark. They miss it when I dont show up to some events as they can see when I do.

That will work but depending on the load, you might want to drive a relay instead of directly through the switch and certainly get a breaker in that circuit somewhere.

in re reading what i ordered, [nows a good time to do that right?] i think these may be for a later model ford maybe a thousand series, there in a pod, but are supposed to be regular 12volt headlites, we'll see, i actually use mine at night plenty, the sun doesnt stay up long enough lol and i need some good lites i have 5 off road lites on a bigger john deere but even with 5 im not seeing all that i would like to what is lit is really lit up but always wonder whats out there in the dark areas and what im going to hang an impliment up on
