I think it's notched over the lift arm
so that it doesn't sway side to side!

lol i guess it works, as long as he doesnt hook to anything bigger than a garden tractor trailer, hook something heavy and watch the fun begin!

at least the 3 point is below the center line, 3 point hitches and old style sling wreckers have the same problem ,once raised over center a hard stop,and whatever your towing ends up up your fanny, not good on a tractor and really not good when a rookie tow guy does it in front of everybody, the towed car or truck usually has a whole;e new set of problems too

Aw that isnt so bad.... Recently I had a piece of chain on one side and a come along on the other. The best part was when the perfectionist neighbor (also a Ford tractor enthusiast) came over and wanted to replicate what I had done.
