Help needed: Dearborn 19-21 loader plate and lines

Hi everyone,

I've been stalking this site for over a year and have found so much helpful information after buying a 51 8N to get it up and running. I need some help though now acquiring a front loader plate for a Dearborn model 19-21 loader and some advice on running modern hydraulic lines from the test port to the actual loader cylinders.

First, my grandfather gave me his Dearborn 19-21 loader to use on my 8N. He used it on an 8N he had many years ago and managed to save the axle/fender mounting plates but not the main loader kingpin plate. Does anyone have an extra plate that I could buy off ya?? If I remember correctly too, some people can make them as well. If that's you, can you give me a cost for production and shipping to 48137?

Secondly, I've downloaded and read almost every owners and service manual for the loader, specifically on routing the hydraulic piping from the test port, up and around the seat to a T that feeds each cylinder. I'd like to use a 90 degree fitting (1/2-20 ORB to 3/8 NPT) but don't know if I can use regular hydraulic hose or if I have to use some type of pipe. TSC sells the CountyLine 4,000 PSI hose at various lengths which I assume will be more than enough to hold pressure in the 8N system. Would it be okay if I used hose for the whole setup, adding T's and unions where needed?

Thanks for any help you can give and thanks for all of the other advice you've given to keep me from setting my 8 on fire :)

I have everything you will need - drop me an email or give me a call. For the test port connection I would suggest something like this. It will allow you to easily attach other things to the test port should you so desire.
