Ok, I know this is a Ford board, but I follow it daily and trust you guys opnion, so here's the deal, I been trying to sell a
Farmall cub with all the attachments, and not having any luck, a guy ask if I will sell just the sickle bar, I dont use the cub
anymore since I got my Ford with a brush hog, what are you guys opnion about pieceing it out, how much do you think the sickle bar
is worth. thanks

Gblj,For one that is in good shape, complete with all the necessary brackets and pulleys I would say 500.00-600.00 would be a good starting place.

If you piece it out AND sell it all, you will make more money.
The flip side of that is many people don't want to buy a bare tractor.
Most want it to come with implements so they can use it.
I sold most of the implements I had for my Cub.
They paid for most of the "nearly complete" refurb.

Quite often a package deal will price a tractor out of the comfort zone for many buyers.
As a buyer I like them because you get the implements for cheap. As a seller, you end up giving the implements away.

Thanks for the replays, I guess he was not that interested, I sent him a reply saying I would sell just the sickle bar, and what would he like to offer, never heard back from him, more than once this has happened on Craigslist, I think some people just like to mess with other people.
