3 point hydraulics

I have a 48 to 50 8n. I replaced the ram and cylinder for the 3 point hydraulics. Had the hydraulic pump rebuilt. When I went to use it, the 3point held a box scraper up for about a half hour. When I lowered the scraper, it blew the gasket out on the right front bottom cover. What would cause all that pressure and how can I fix it? Thanks Ray

Ray,Where a bouts are you at? I know a Ray Hill. Use a good quality gasket and don;t use any silicone gasket sealer on it,silicone lets the gasket slide and blow out under pressure. If you need a sealer to hold the gasket in place while installing the pump or top cover.Use a little HiTac sparingly and that will hold the gasket in place.

I am gonna assume you mean the pump gasket.

In about about 6 places around the pump base between the bolt holes but none near the oil feed oil I apply 3M 8001 weather strip gasket cement on the pump body. Apply the gasket then remove it for a few min. for the glue to take a set then stick the gasket to the pump, the gasket will not go anywhere and stay put while you fight the pump back into place...

I hope you know the top cover stays put no need to remove it to R&R the pump...
