If there was a default color for Ford
tractors it would have to be blue.
They made more blue ones, for more years
than any other color.
If I had a 9/2N I would definately paint it
gray.

It looks like a 2N. Look at the fender mount bosses. The 9N was solid. So, between the tubular instead of I-beam radius arms and the open fender mount bosses cast in the axle housing, it's a 2N. I have been watching a for a super nice 9N for about a year now and it's amazing how often people don't even know what they have. I'd say 90% of the "Ford 9N" listings on Craigslist are wrong. Most times they are a 2N, sometimes they're even 8N's! In a lot of cases I think they see all those 9N serial numbers and just assume it must be a 9N.
