Anybody Need a Jube??

Well first off for such a high end restoration why does it appear to be missing the toolbox step? Has aftermarket spin on filter kit. Others will correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe vertical exhaust or that seat were factory options at that time either.

Rubber mats on the running boards!
Who could ask for anything more.

Looks like a nice riding seat.

Sure is purdy paint!
I think that seat is a Knoedler. I'm 6 ft 1 and I was
too tall to use the clutch with a Knoedler on an 8N
Aftermarket 6 loop rims and the wrong size tires.
Without picking it apart too much, I think I'll pass. ;)

very nice tractor
but since we are looking.....
That wrong bumper has got to go.
Those aftermarket sway bar brackets too.
Might be just the pics, but the tires look too big too.

Again, I'd like to say very nice.
But, I don't understand the 'investment' angle.....after spending $10k to get it?????

One question with these oh-so-pretty tractors.
Will they work as well/hard as my NAA's? Mine do have some dust on em.......

Mine's always muddy.

I keep loading up my fat 13.6's tires (too big I know) with jet black heavy soil . . . whenever I break traction in my back 40 road making. So I take the NAA somewhere that can use the soil . . . and with this old hand made very wide tipped scraper someone made from a wide rasp, I remove all the caked black soil cakes from between the lugs. :)

Meanwhile if the guy got !0,000 for the showroom special after spending $3,000 to 5,000 he'd be lucky to have made $1 an hour for all the labor.

For that price absolutely every component would have to be rebuilt like that $11,500 Jube that's been on the web at a dealer's site for as long as I've been here. Doesn't have a bumper, grille is red, other little things red like the air intake plate. They, at least list everything they have done to the tractor.

I'd rather have my old metal Jubilee emblem than one of the new replacements. It was bent and I'm glad it took to bending without cracking. Now that was quality pot metal. :D

I'm kinda of two minds on tractors like this.
On the one hand, if you are willing to get it dirty it is a great machine that will do a Lot of work for a cheap price compared to a new one.
On the other, it lacks many of the features that can be had on a tractor just a few years newer - for much less $.
No PS. No LPTO. Hard to find remote valve which limits it. No diff lock.
I was never into building a trailer queen.
I appreciate seeing them but never needed one myself.
The sad part is the owner put a lot of time and love into that tractor but will be lucky to get half of his asking price for it - unless he finds that one in a million buyer who can appreciate it. But that won't be an easy find.

So much wrong with this tractor to be "investment quality" whatever means lol. It's really just a decent tractor with a real good paint job. If he finds the right buyer he could get half his asking price!

(quoted from post at 21:48:37 05/30/16) Haha does anyone need a new Jube?? Looks like a good deal to me...just kidding! Not my ad
1953 Ford Golden Jubilee Tractor & Plow

In the mid 90's I built custom wrought iron tables and beds . People had no problem spending $3k for a custom bed but had no interest in one that was on display that looked similar at half price .

You could sell a Jube for $10k if the owner was in on the build from day one . My dad was successful with Mustangs and Fairlanes builds in the 70's because the buyer picked the options .

I see a lot of poorly documented externally restored tractors that are just a shot in the dark . I guess you only need to hit one bullseye and you can fire as many times as you like .
