Same as towing a car. If you can find a guy with a rollback that will do it for ~$100 jump on it.

got a pal with a trailer? assuming it is a small tractor does it run? I haul them all the time, not professionally, Can a guy get to it easy? If so 25.00-30.00 + gas money would be good for me.

the problem is the tractor is 200 miles away from me. I am sure there are haulers in the area but I am a stranger in them parts.

Steve,

Maybe you could run an ad in the paper local to that area asking if anyone is heading your way anyway and has some experience in tying down and hauling a heavy load. Maybe he rents a U Haul that can be dropped off in your area. You pay his gas and trailer rental one way.

I'm Not sure what you are saying. First you said 15 miles then 200 miles which is it? I think a couple dollars a loaded mile would be a fair price. On a short distance like 15 miles they would probably charge you a loading fee so $80/$100 might be reasonable. Of course weight, length, easy loading (a running/drive right on the trailer) would also come into play. You wouldn't expect to pay the same rate for a farmall cub as you would for a ford backhoe.
On longer distances like 200 miles you might get someone to do it for $1 or $2 dollars a mile. Check the hauling schedule in the left hand tool bar. You might get somebody heading that way with room on his trailer. If the tractor is in my area I might know someone to haul it.
I'm going out this morning with my trailer to pick up two tractors. Hopefully I can shoehorn them on my trailer so I don't have to make two trips.

sorry for the cornfusion. the tractor is 200 miles from my house but I only need it hauled 15 miles to our cabin/dump in upstate PA.

ShowcropYou have a phone don't you, just call a couple towing services in that area and ask them for a price about hauling it on a roll back to your destination.

Where is the tractor located?

cabin? hunting?
get to know the locals, they will know somebody.
At my camp, I asked the backhoe guy I hired to do some work.
Another camp I hunt at asked the bulldozer guy.
Their trailers were much too big, but in both cases....they knew a guy...even called them for us.

Hope you find someone to haul it reasonable. I would be hard put to drive mine a mile on the road. These "N's" don't like the highway very much. Mine would be all over the road from ditch to ditch...lol
