Ford 172 diesel question

Hey guys, working on my 861 diesel, and I see very rotted hose coming of the Roosa-Master pump. Looks like a return line to me. Goes from the pump to the front of the tank. From the back theres a line leading to the fuel filter, then into the pump. My question is, if i replace this hose, how do I bleed the system? Looks like there is a bleeder screw on the filter housing. Want to change this hose NOW, so it doesn't blow in the middle of raking a hay field. As always , aNY AND ALL HELP IS MUCH APPRECITED. Ask on the Ford board.
They will know.
I could help you with a Simms or a CAV but never messed with those RMs.

If it's the return line you shouldn't have to bleed it.
