8n valve replacemant

Have an 8n bought the complete overhaul kit, got to replacing the valve found that I had ordered no rotating valves, tractor currently has rotating valves.
Called to get correct parts they are on back order , so my question is can I use the non rotating valves in place of the rotating vavles?

Ihtrucktech,Yes they can be replaced with non rotators,or take your old valves and guides to a machine shop to be checked for wear and resurfaced.If you have the block out take it also and have the seats ground if needed.
 

The valve keepers and retainers are different and can not be interchanged.

If you not schooled on setting up the free rotating set up use the non rotating set up... You will need the valves, retainers and keepers that go with the type of valve you are using. About the only thing that will interchange is the springs I would recommend a new set of spings either way you go..
 

Thanks the rebuild came with all new valves retainers keepers and guides for non rotating valves so I should be good to go.
