Dearborn swinging drawbar difference

I was cleaning some of my barn today and came upon two Dearborn swinging drawbars. They are 8n drawbars not the later
hundred series drawbars. Well, putting them side be side I notice a difference. My thinking is old henry ford saved
about an inch of steel on the angle upright possible the later drawbar. They are both original and both have DMC
stamp. Just when you think you know quite a bit about these old ford tractors something like this pops up. Learn
something new everyday. Probably going to put them up for sale. Email is open

could be....I think beancounters came into being about 5 minutes after the earth was created...

But, having spent a lot of years in a factory before ISO standards were invented....
Number one rule....nothing stops the line.
Engineering 'permits' were given out like candy. Out of brackets?
That bin of brackets over there destined for another part will work.
Permit given...weld em up...keep that line moving....

Yea I'm guessing it was the same with these Dearborn 19-80 snowplow frames. The one on the right must have been the
earlier one, pipe was cut and welded, later one on the left just bend the pipe, save time, money and keep the line
moving.
