Mole/Gopher killer

Had moles in the past few years. Think I got a gopher now. THAT s*cker
tears up the ground real good. Stopped off at the hardware store last
night and got a steel bucket. I will now turn the bucket upside down,
Mount a lawn mower engine, preferably side shaft, and then run a tube
from the engine exhaust down through the bucket. Dig out the mole/gopher
mound, place this contraption on top of the hole and start it up.
Breathe deep is all I have to say.

Go to YouTube and search for The Rodenator.
They are way too expensive but it would be fun to have one a couple of times a year.
Not so many moles but lots of chipmunks and gophers. Minnesota is the gopher state after all.
Another tactic I like is a .41 mag but the shells are pricey.

If a gopher in OR is the same as a groundhog in VA, you're wasting your time. The burrow has two entrances. Until you find both, all you will succeed in doing is wasting gas.

If you find both entrances, cover one with dirt. Then, toss a road flare in the other hole & quickly cover that entrance. Or you can buy the same thing as a road flare at the big box stores:

Second entrance issue is the fun part, when it pops it's head out shoot it if more are in there they stay down then and the exhaust does the rest....works good on rock chucks too..
