Howdy All;
Apparently my 8n has had mostly or just water in the cooiling system for a long while. I have flushed the cooling system several times with water pushing water in both directions in the block and the radiator. It is not running hot but shortly after putting 'green' antifreese in the cooling system, it take on a rusty brown color. I am wondering if there is a product that you all might recommend to not only clean out the radiator, but also clean out the rusty contaminate in the engine water jacet system?
Thanks,

If you don't like the available chemical flushes use vinegar. Fill with vinegar run till warm then drain both rad. and engine . Flush with water then use any green antifreeze. That's the way I did my 2N.

Remove the block drain valve or plug completely. Use a stiff wire and go in the hole and loosen stuff that may around the cylinders as much as possible. Flush with water

I cleaned both my Ns out with vinegar. 2 gallons added to water should do the trick. It really works surprisingly well. I'd recommend after running the engine up to temp to actually let it sit for about an hour to soak off any stubborn rust.

Hello;
Thank you for your suggestion, Did your formula include a gallon jug of vinegar with two gallons of water? Also, was it white or apple cider vinegar?

I did other way around 2 gallons of vinegar. Mine wouldn't hold the gallon of water.

Fill with Straight White Vinegar. Then run it for a while.
Won't hurt to run it all day the drain. Flush the system out good.
Refill with coolant.
Stuff is cheap and works good.
If you want, save and use again on another system.
Just filler it with a Tee Shirt or something first.

Thank you Gentlemn for the tips, I like the idea of using somehting organic rather than some new formula. I will give it a try and see how it works. I will keep you posted.
