radiator leak, how to remove JB, @ gunk

Have a radiator leak on my Jubilee. The leak is on the radiator tank seam. Someone had put JB weld and/or what looks like some epoxsy "hard steel" sealers.

What is the best way to remove all this harden stuff so we can see where the "hole" or leak is at??? The gunk is about 12 in. in length along part of the tank seam.

Thank you in advance for your assistance. David

Unless you are real good at soldering, I would recommend that you buy a new radiator and be done with it.

A wire brush in an electric drill or even better , an air die grinder will clean it brite & shiney. Wear a face shield !!

Jbweld will come right off if you heat it. It's not hard to solder a radiator. you must get it really clean. Down to bare shinny copper. Need a good hot torch.
