Rear fender skin

A while back I saw a alternative to the rivets for the rear fender, a bolt that mimics the rivet. Anyone help me out?

Are you referring to riv-nuts. They're threaded rivets that come in various sizes. You have to buy the tool that sets them in and they're not cheap. HTH

No someone posted a bolt with rounded rivet style head as a alternative to filing square holes in the rear fenders

any decent fastener place can sell u bolts/machine screws with a low-profile round head and a variety of driver styles - allen, torx, philips, etc.

I used whats called a " button head " allen screw. I found a 12 pack of them on ebay for cheap.

I guess I'm not making myself clear. It's a smooth round head, identical to the rivet from the face side but it has threads to hold it in. I'm thinking it may have knurls or something to retain it. I'm thinking maybe like a wheel stud with a smooth round rivet head. It was posted on the forum here a while back and I wasn't smart enough to bookmark it.

Yes, it's not the webpage I remember from before but it is exactly what I'm looking for, thank you ever so much Del
