Is this Scrap Iron or Parts ?

I've had my 'ol 2N 30 years this month and am fixing things that have bugged me for a while. Replaced the drag links with new, found a straight radius rod and a set of excellent old running boards. Now I'm wondering what to do with my old stuff. To me it looks like scrap iron but opinions vary with this antique stuff. Guess I could hang onto it for the next owner to decide.

Yeah, thinking now the radius rod is toast and can go to scrap. Someone with skills could probably bring it back but why bother when a good used one isn't that hard to find. The radius rods work OK but they have a few bends and the boots are shot. May be worth the trouble for an "originalist" with some straightening skills but not to me. Running boards have some issues with the angle iron mounts. If I was handy with a welder I probably would have worked them over instead of buying the replacements. I know there's not much $ involved but it's the principle of the thing - I hate to throw something away if it has a good use.

spare parts.........always in the way, and of absolutely no use........until you throw them away. :D

top pic......snapping one of your new parts in the field..them old used ones will get you back to the barn.
bottom pic.....probably many 9N/2N owners out there that could use them.

The steering draglinks I would toss up in the rafters after greasing the pins and bagging them. they are plenty useable in an emergency.

the radius arm? id torcht he ball and yoke end off and stick them in my parts bin and the hollow body could go to the scrap pile to be sold.

(quoted from post at 08:59:36 04/26/16) they help keep things in place.

I don't know how may times I've done that ... but it's a lot.

I'm thinking now I'll keep it all including radius rod, at least for a while (while = years probably). I still have some rafter space open so might as well. Don't have a cutting torch so it's easier to keep the whole rod. Maybe I'll throw the boards onto Ebay and see if anyone is interested.

I've scrapped a lot of them with better looking rods on them, toss them on the next load going by.
