Monroe ez ride seat worth it?

(quoted from post at 09:32:07 04/23/16) Just wondering if the ez ride seats are worth the hassle of tracking one down and rebuilding?

No.

I found one and rebuilt it for my N. After all the money into it, quite frankly I think the original seat is better looking on the tractor and easier to get on/off with. I'm sure if you were using the N everyday the cushion would be nice, but for me I'd keep the original if I was using mine a lot

I think its worth it. Here is the one I just finished for my 2N. This one was in good shape when I got it. All I had to do is replace the plate in the pan seat and the bushings. Then sand, prime and paint.

In my opinion, no.
They're usually worn out and the shock
absorber is hard to find a replacement for.
And they are pinching darned things. Watch
your fingers around one.
A far better seat if you want a quasi
original one is a Rest O Ride.
Those are expensive to restore but they are
comfortable.

Any chance Rest o ride is easier to find in good shape? Have a suspension seat on my 2n that I like alot but wanted to keep my 8n closer to what might have been original..

I've had two tractors with knoedler seats and I have to admit that I like the original better.
Not as close to the dash, looks better, and rides better for my taste.
To each his own though.
