8n fuel leak follow up

Dean was correct about adjusting the drop level.

Now it will not start. It has good spark, cranks good, but I do not seam to be getting fuel to the plugs.

I have compression and vacuum at the carburetor air intake, but dry plugs.

I have cranked with the key off and choke on, still will not try to start. Checked the plugs all dry.

Help!

Of course the plugs are dry. They're
supposed to be. If they were wet, the engine
would be flooded.

Does the spark jump 1/4 inch in open air?

Does gas flow for 30 seconds when you remove
the bolt in the carb bowl?

Jerry........you write......."I have cranked with the key off and choke on, still will not try to start"........WHY would you expect yer tractor to start with the key OFF??? Ennytime you have startin' issues, change yer sparkies. Recommend AutoLite 437's gapped 0.025. Don't throw yer FLOODED sparkies away, just clean'n'dry them one-atta-time in HOT runnin' engine. Simple, eh? As fer startin' yer engine, keep yer itchy-twitchy fingers off'n that handy-dandy spring loaded choke knobbie. The drill is; ignition ON, glass fuel filter OFF; 2-rumpas on yer starter motor and a QUICK pull on the spring loaded choke knobbie, then 2-turns on the glass filter knobbie. .......HTH, the amazed Dell
