Re: 8n lift comes up when I start the tractor.

I always place the lift lever in the lower position each time I stop the tractor for any length of time,
Never leave it in the raised position when I put it in the shed,

I heard years ago that if left in the raised position the valve can stick, you have no down pressure on the lift system, so the pump can not help
unstick the valve,
So far my theory has worked
My lift will go down with a load when parked and motor off, after a while as its old and worn, but that leaves the valve in the up position

Thanks for the replies guys. Not sure why this fit split from the main thread so I didn't see it. I got it all fixed up. Any body got dimensions on that jig so I can build my own? I live in northern alberta and worth our dollar where it is and shipping that 60 dollar jig will become over a 120 real quick.

I doubt anyone will help with that, we try to support our fellow members and not give away the products they've developed. I believe there is a procedure in the manuals you can use.

So let me get this straight. A jig that was copied because it was no longer being produced is not allowed to be copied a second time and used solely for personal use? I'm not paying 140 canadian or more for a couple pieces of aluminum. I appreciate what you are saying and would agree with you if it was a novel idea but the fact is that jig has been around since 40s.

Sounds like you need to find and buy one of the original jigs.
