I would go look at this tractor.
A 2600 is one model newer than a 3 cylinder
2000. Built from 76-83.
This one is a gasser, has power steering,
live PTO, live hydraulics - 8.4 gpm hyd pump
with a filter on it - enough to run a
loader. Differential lock. About 33 hp. Came
from the factory 12V with an alternator.
Same cat 3 point hitch as an N. About 6"
longer and 1200 lbs heavier than an N but
just as nimble because of the PS.
This is an great model Ford.
Dunno why the price is low but fixed up it's
easily a $5K+ tractor.
Yes, I am singing their praises. 3 cylinder
2000, 3000, 2600, 3600s are my favorite
model Fords.
If someone here could get this I would be
very happy for you.

I'm pretty fond of the 3930 with the synchronized shuttle shift giving you 8 forward and 8 reverse speeds. My only complaint about the 8x2 transmission is reverse is either to slow or to fast.

I'm fairly close to Tulsa, but I definitely don't need to consider another tractor. Actually a couple years ago I was looking at a couple 2600's and a 3000 but I ended up getting a sweet deal on a nice and clean MF 245 diesel, still have an 8N too. The 245 was to replace the 8N but I haven't talked myself into selling it yet.
