Front axle question

Need to replace the front axle pivot pin/bushing on a 2n. Never done this before. How should I remove the pin, and what parts do I need to replace it with? It's a '46. This is the best pic I have at this time.

UH OH.......if you had trouble trying to get the fan belt on......It is now time for you, to get out the FO-4 Manual, and start reading all there is to know, about removing things on your 'N', so you can replace the front axle pin.

This pic. is of my 2N, when the axle pin was replaced.!! This will give you some idea,as to how far down the parts have to be removed!!!

Good luck with your job!!

That is the later stamped steel axle support as used on the 8N and you need pin 2N-3126D.

Some old ones come out easy - some not so much. Here is a good discussion of HowTo:

If it wore thru the bushing and into the axle housing you will need a good donor axle are know someone with a welder and mill that works cheap... All other hacks to repair it will return for a re-do....
