Looks a lot like that down here in Ionia county too Nick.
I'll make you a deal, you can have all of our snow.
But you have to take all the darned ice with it! ;)

(quoted from post at 14:53:26 02/08/16) My heart is not broken by no snow. You may have said in the past, but I missed it, where are you "up north"?

John - I'm just outside Port Huron but grew up in Northeast Michigan - near Hubbard Lake ("Up North" to all the folks from "Downstate"!)

No deal, Royce! :) We get our fair share of that over here!

Looks like you'll be getting more rain and maybe flooding over there, while we get the snow!

DaWife makes the trip to Big Rapids every Monday, and is *supposed* to drive home Tuesday afternoon... Since the 1st of the year, it has snowed every Tuesday, making her wait till Wednesday to come home!

ran up to Canadian lakes yesterday to pick up a hoist that was on CL, it was like spring, almost hit a deer, however it's coming
this week

Hi Nick,
My wife's family was in Caseville when I met her in Ypsilanti. We spent many week-ends going there with our kids.
On occasion on my way to Toronto for GM I drove I-94 to Port Huron and cross the Blue Water Bridge to Sarnia and drive the 402.
My wife hates cold weather and has never wanted to be "up north" in the winter. With family scattered from here to Marquette, we did encounter some nasty weather on the roads from time to time.

Ya can't blame a guy for trying, right? :D
Home safe a day late is better than risking it on bad roads.
Luckily winter only lasts until construction season.

(quoted from post at 21:51:50 02/08/16) MapQuest confirmed my eyeball estimate of 200 miles to Big Rapids. I went to Ferris 1963 to 1965 and drove 200 miles from Belleville.
I'm half way in between John. Feel free to stop in on your way! :)

Sorry, my fault. I bought snow tires this year, chained up the 9N early, paid for a full season of snow plowing and put a remote starter in my car.

Finally! Mother nature brought the snow! Busted the 9N out about 6ish this morn. Two swipes with the 6 ft backblade and I was done!

A-HA! So now we know who the culprit is! So much for "global warming"... it's all Scout's fault! :p
