[b:e5b46dbb81][i:e5b46dbb81] AND, My vote is....NO more winter this yr.!!! I'm getting sick of being stuck in the house, recouperating, when I could be out on the front deck, in a deck chair, soaking up the rays!!
My ticker is doing great, and I only have one more DR. Appointment to get His approval for the rest of the winter!!!
I get to see the BIG GUY, of the MT. Heart asscoc., tomorrow....then another 3-4 mos. of recoupe, till the Final checkup.
This 'Down-time', is killin' me!!!!!!

Find something not strenuous to occupy your mind. Rushing to get back to "what I can do" can be fatal. My father had a massive heart attack at age 53. 4 months later he went back to work with the approval of the Ford Motor Company doctor. He suffered another heart attack at 4am at work. He was found DEAD! I got the call and then had to go tell my mother and my then 14 year old sister. Then I had to call my other 2 sisters. Of all the things in my life that is still, by far, the hardest thing I've ever had to do. Please be careful and(a)patient.

the previous 2 winters in michigan (and many other places) were brutal. this one has been pretty tame so far, and, as far as i'm concerned, we were owed this.

to me, winter is an important thing. i'm not a big fan of anywhere i've lived where bugs and other vermin can thrive year round. u end up with bad things. ya, i know they call them palmetto bugs, but they're still cockroaches the size of field mice, no matter what they call them :p

it's large snowfalls that bother me. in my perfect world, we'd have winters with very little snow, nothing more than i can sweep with a dollar store broom.

my advice to all is trust your doctor, or find a new one. patience, GB :)

My weather station shows we have had over 31 inches of rain since the first of Oct. Glad it was not all snow. Storm been coming in just about every other day. About all I am doing is building a fire in the shop and goofing off. Did haul some gravel into tractor shed, it was getting muddy, took chains off of maggie, figured I would not need them this year.
Listen to Leslie and take it easy!

Relax. Have a BEER if allowed. You know how fast time goes as we age. 3-4 months rehab and it will be June and time to try out the RV. Main thing is you and Leslie be happy and healthy. If it takes a little time-so be it.
Take care

This is the time to catch on your embroidery or knitting, Gary. It"s inside work and no heavy lifting!(Grin)

Recovery from what ails you is usually 3-4 months so just be patient and you you"ll be good as new - er, I mean as good as an old duffer an be!(Grin)

Best regard to Les.................and you , too!

I'm all for no more winter too, even though we haven't had much
of one this season for Michigan. All we've had is ICE!.
I'll take the snow over ice any time.
Rain and 48 degrees took care of most of that today, but the
weather guessers say a flash freeze coming shortly, so more ice.
C'est la vie.

Here's what it looks like at 5:30 this afternoon. Fog.

So far I have had a great winter. Almost every day in Dec was 50 degrees. Most of Jan has been in the 40's. I'm about to pay for
it. The forcast for Tuesday is 12-18 inches of snow!

Wishing you the best at your appt. tomorrow. As for the weather, keep the snow and ice up
your way-we are concerned about bad weather that is suppose to visit us Tuesday--
thunderstorms, possible tornadoes and such..almost wishing for a little snow instead.....

Winter is a good time to service and oil those fishing reels, take the guns out of the safe and oil them, read some good books, catch up on some old favorite DVDs, cook some good stuff.
