(quoted from post at 15:26:57 01/26/16) Ha ha! Now just park a dump trailer under it before you slam the door.

Too late. Twenty minutes later it was down. Unfortunately I had put the tractor away and closed the overhead door. The weight buckled it inwards and I had to shovel it free. And now I get to plow the front of the shop again - Oh Joy! :x

Hokie you need to put some staggered air spoilers on the roof and eliminate that. If
and when the ice forms the spoilers will hold it back while it melts and keep the
large chunks from hitting someone on the head. <'(((((>(

I wish I had them put a 5ft overhang all the way around my building instead of just the front... It was only 2K more at the time.
It went like this you can have 16ft end walls are a overhang all the way around the building... I took the 16ft end walls you never know one day I just mite turn this place into a church and would need a extra floor...

Bent the door

(quoted from post at 07:54:59 01/27/16) Can't believe it's still there. Nice tractor. I would love to have a front end loader.

I purchased that old Kubota in March of 1992. It had 400 hours on it and came with a brand new 4' finish mower. I paid what seemed at the time to be a monumental sum of $6500. It was after our first winter in this house and we had been hit by one of the "little" nor'easters that bring us 2' -3' every 4-5 years or so. The 9N I had planned on using for snow removal simply couldn't deal with that sort of accumulation. There is little room to push snow so you really need to pile it high and it's very hilly terrain where you can get stuck in a heartbeat. I spent more time digging and winching the 9N out with a come-a-long than I did pushing snow. We waited about a week before one of our neighbors with a big MF on 38" rubber could come by to dig us out. As soon as the weather improved I went shopping for a 4WD tractor with front loader.

The little 17HP Kubby's getting old and tired but it still makes me smile in admiration when I bury the bucket in 3' of snow and the RPM's drop a bit before it grunts, RPM's recover, and the pile starts moving. It took me three days to dig out this time and I'm getting too old for this crap. I think it's time to buy a little newer machine with taller rubber, a bigger bucket, and HST so my left leg and right arm don't get so tired ;-) The old Kubby has more than paid for itself and deserves a nice easy retirement life alongside the N's. I might even put the sheet metal back on it and paint it up real pretty

Your Kubota is similar to my B1750HST.

I bought mine new in 1994 and it has since been absolutely trouble free.

The B1550/1750/2150 was the follow on series to the B5200/6200/7200/8200. Not much difference between them and like yours mine has been rock solid. The one thing they were missing was PS for the loader tractors. Only available on the B7200 as an option and I have never seen one with it. I don't think they started making it standard on all of their tractors until sometime around 2000....

I usually knock it off with a long handle concrete come along when it's hanging over. Glad I put the overhead door on
the gable end.
