What's wrong with this picture?

You guys all noticed those bolts right off. They're wrong.
The fuel line is wrong too, not sure about the head bolts/studs.
I can't remember when they changed over.

Take a close look at those bolts going through the manifold too.
Every other manifold I have here is a flat plate against the block.
No gap to see the bolts after they pass through an outer flange.

Maybe a dual fuel as Richard suggested? I'm not sure what it is.

I agree with TOH too. Nothing wrong with the picture.
In focus, well lighted, etc. Just the stuff I took a picture of. LOL

(quoted from post at 19:29:41 01/23/16) It is a aftermarket manifold tractor supply used to sell many years ago and it took longer studs or bolts.

Interesting Scott. Thank you. It's coming off tomorrow, to be
replaced with the conventional style. I'll try to post some videos
of the sounds it makes. I believe it to be the cause of my current
woes with this tractor. Hopefully I'll know for sure tomorrow.

I don't have new studs on hand, so I'll probably have to use bolts
for the time being but if that fixes it I'll put the studs back in.
I actually have new brass nuts here, just not the new studs.

is it my imagination, or is there a lot of variation in these manifolds? i replaced mine a couple of summers ago - it had rotted away at the rear - and i had to grind the replacement in order to get a socket on the front nut, and maybe the rear too.

HFJ, if you used steel nuts, they take a 1/16 larger socket than
the original brass nuts did. The socket doesn't fit well at all.
The smaller socket that fits the brass nuts usually fits fine.
At least that's been my experience.

ahhh, interesting. i'm gonna have to look, but now that u say that, i seem to remember needing to replace one of the nuts, and not finding the brass ones. will check that in the daylight.

I would be ashamed to sell something with a pot marked casting like that. What must the machined ports looked like where it mates the block? I thought it sat out in acid rain.

Here's the inside of the manifold I took off (the black one)
compared to the used one I am planning to install.
