This ad looks like a ransom poster!

It does look a bit odd.
I saw an ad this morning for a "Ferguson 9N".
I think he has his facts/history a bit confused.
And the price? Well, that's probably why its advertised from
out of state. Can't get that price at home, cast a wider net.

Ferguson

lol, great find. AND DON'T CALL THE COPS!

but that 47 ferguson 9N is a steal. 3200 for a one of a kind tractor, how can u go wrong?

"3200, 3900 - i'm as good with numbers as he is :)"

LOL I just figured you looked at both ads. Both are far too high.

I like the abundant use of the word "newer" in that ad. 1951 parts would be considered newer than the tractor, right? Lots of wiggle room in that description.

He does have his facts turned around looks like a TO20.

About six years a go a friend (Jerry)told me he bought a Ford 8n just like the one his dad had years a go. Jerry said he was
having problems getting the 8n in to reverse. I thought about it for a minute. And then asked if this was the tractor that was
listed in the local paper for sale. Jerry said it was. I told him your problem is it's not an 8n. The tractor in the paper was a
Ferguson TO30.(I had went and looked at it also) He was sure I was wrong it was an 8n.

I told Jerry there was an easy way to tell. The next time you try to put it in reverse, Lift stright up on the gear shift and
then shift into reverse. If it goes into reverse it's a Ferguson.

A week or so later, I saw Jerry on the street and asked him about the tractor. He told me it shifts fine IF he lifts up on the
gear shift first. Then Jerry says he can't remember his dad's 8n having that feature!

Jerry still today thinks he has an 8n! he will figure it out if he ever orders points for it!
