Good Finds Progress

I had a windfall find yesterday. Picked up a Ferguson jack, Dearborn belt pully and a PTO extension, as well as a bucket full of parts, a fuel tank, and two used front tires.

I also took the afternoon on Tuesday to clean out the mouse mess in the bellhousing of the 1950 8N and primed the interior parts to prevent future rusting. My cousin is coming for a weekend visit and he's going to help me put the clutch in and get the engine mated back to the rear. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping I might have this tractor running by Christmas! It's been sitting for over 25 years.

A happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

I would guess, depending on condition, you could ask between $40-$60 for it. They have pretty limited value at this point, unless the buyer is a collector or still has a need for belt power.

Nice finds!! Hope you and the family had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! Supposed to be beautiful here tomorrow. Debating driving my 51 out to Marks moms so he can use it for snow removal..About a 12 mile drive..He'd have to follow behind me in town till i can get on gravel. I finally heard back from the machine shop he has the machine work done now on Marks engine...was supposed to be done after wheat harvest. I called him for a few months and left numerous messages with no answer. Finally called me beginning of the week and said he had to order the kit and it would be a few weeks...Must have felt bad he screwed around for so long and got it done. Told Mark id help him assemble it..been awhile since ive gotten to get my hands dirty

We had a really nice Thanksgiving, Lisa. Hope you all did too. Stay safe and warm on that drive. Not too much wind, but it sure got cold. Our low here was 7*. We didn't get as much done in the shop yesterday as I hoped. I couldn't get that space warm enough to work in until lunchtime, and then we had an early family meal and watched the local Christmas parade down main street.

And good luck with that rebuilt engine. It can sure take a while to get stuff done. This 1950 has been sitting in my shop for almost 5 years.
