Okay. I feel like a real dummy that I cant figure this one out. Maybe you guys have an idea.
I am rebuilding the carb on my 8N. Took it all apart and got it cleaned up and ready to reassemble.
I took out the idle jet and now cant get it back in. It came out very easy and I didn't damage the jet at all.
The new one that came in the kit wouldn't thread in so I went back to try to reinstall the old one. The threads are fine and both jets thread into a 10-32 nut easily. I can also run a 10-32 bolt into the jet hole. Its a hair loose, but threads in fine.
I just cant get the threads on either of the jets to catch so I can thread it back in. I know I have the right jet and I am putting it in the right hole. Really don't see how I could have damaged the threads. It came out fine, just cant get it back in.
Kinda regretting taking that sucker out now, and glad I didn't take out the main or econ jets.
What the heck am I missing?
