N Series Accessories

I was looking at the Red Rock Mfg website and dreaming up a wish list of their products. It got me thinking. Do any of you have their products on your N; if so, what is it and what are your thoughts?

Alternatively, what is your favorite accessory on/for your N? Pictures are worth a thousand words!

I have their repop of the dowden foot feed throttle. Loved it for plowing snow. let me set my throttle at a "nice" setting for the majority of my plowing, then I could throttle up for the long stretches.

I also have a foot throttle on my tractor and
use it as you do - set the hand throttle at a
comfortable speed and bump it up with your foot
as needed.
Another advantage is it bumps the max rpms
about 150 higher than the hand throttle will.
Nice when you see your buddy pull the cooler
out and you are very thirsty or when you need
to make a mad dash to the outhouse.

I have an original Dowden on one of my 8Ns. It works well to increase or decrease RPMs as needed when using the Woods belly mower. I'm tempted to get a Red Rock repro or two for a couple of my other Ns.

I have the electric fuel valve shutoff and love it. Also the selective shift plate for the up and down shifter on the 800 series. Good stuff!

Though not N related, I have Red Rock 4/5 lockouts on both of my vintage Ford tractors with 5 speed tractors.

I have the FarMech parking brake. Works great, Actually, I only have the right side installed, it does the job so I have never got around to putting the other side on.

I have purchased the left hand brake for the 9N/2N fro Red Rock and what a blessing for now I am able to use both brakes. and yes, my 9N/2n has good working brakes, there are small miracles

I want to purchase the gas gages next.

Thanks for the heads up. I never knew about their site. I like the parking brakes and the foot feed. May just have to order them. The gas gauge is pretty cool also.

What tool box do most people use? And where do you all attach it to? I need one soon. Thanks

An ammo box works well on the fender. Just make sure you mount it high enough so the lift arm doesn't come up and hit the bottom of it.

Thanks for the suggestion, Caryc, I like that. Plus nobody knows which set of "tools" you have on you lol.

I use ammo boxes like Caryc, just mounted a little differently. I put one facing the front of the tractor with my tools and one facing the rear of the tractor with hitch pins, a clevis and a small chain. They are also mounted according to where I access them the most with the front facing one on the left and the rear facing one on the right as you sit on the tractor. They work quite well, except mine are sealed too well and they
sweat inside.

Yes, most all of them look pretty handy. Definitely the Fender Rack, Transport Lock, Automatic Fuel Shut-off (if I had 12V), Gas Guage, Valve Stem Protectors and the Dowden Foot Feed. This one could get me in trouble ;)

If you look at my picture again you'll notice that my ammo box is wider than yours so it can't fit between the lift arms and fenders like yours show. But good idea.
