Hello All,
Need some assistance here. just got a rebuilt Factory carb installed on my 1955 660 ford tractor. of course nothing is adjusted so it doesnt run. I thought the needles should be two turns out to begin with but she does not catch. I remember seeing a link on initial adjustments for this carb , but can not locate it anymore. Does anyone have any tips on setting the carb in order to get this old girl running and idling?
Thank you in advance
Ron

Ron.........both Ford and M/S say to set the carb tweek'um to 1-turn. Here's how I do it. I adjust the down-pointing mainjet to 2-turns and LEAVITT!!! I adjust the side-pointing idlemix for FASTEST idle NOT SMOOTHEST idle. Understand the difference? The side-pointing idlemix is BASSACKWARDS, out fer lean, IN fer ENRICH. Usually ends up about 1/8-1/4 turn........HTH, Dell
